My New Shopping Cart Has Autoresponder Service Built In
You will have noticed a steady stream of jiggling going on with this site of late. Different themes, different front page content, different allsorts!
I can’t really apologize because overall, it is in the site’s, and our own, best interests.
I am moving to a membership site as things develop. Don’t worry, it will still be free as always, it just means that I can add more content, like a number of forms for small businesses to use for their bookkeeping. This is a really exciting development which I am testing at the moment and will, I hope, be invaluable for small businesses for a modest monthly fee. It will all be run from here but the bookkeeping aspect will be strictly available to the clients that subscribe to those services.
I will also, hopefully, be able to consolidate a number of databases that have built up around different areas of the web. There are some readers subscribed via Aweber, some by RSS feed, some by direct subscription that was on this site for a short while, and I want to consolidate all this together in one clever shopping cart. You may, as loyal readers, receive some odd emails over the next week or so. The anti-spam policies operated by the large autoresponder services are all very laudable, but can be really irritating at times like this. So as I amalgamate these databases, each subscriber will get one, or maybe more than one, email asking you to re-confirm your subscription.
There is no way around this but I will not be doing it until I am sure it can be done in one swoop.
There are some things about the shopping cart I don’t like but nothing is perfect (except maybe me!) and I will try to keep any hiccups to an absolute minimum.
Thank you for your loyalty, I really appreciate the messages I receive about stuff on this site so keep them coming. But no-one is leaving comments these days. I know there is an anti-spam bit in the comment process but it wasn’t intended to stop the genuine comments – just the rubbish the internet is famous for these days.
So how about it?? Let’s have some comments and suggestions!! Remember, comments also give you a link to your own blog or website so we all benefit.
