Get Online – Get a free business website today!
Getting British Business Online is a joint initiative between Google, BT, Enterprise UK, e-skills UK and supported by a plethora of big businesses like American Express. Every British business can get a FREE website by going to Get British Business Online. The scheme is totally free for 2 years and then you just need to renew your domain and you are set for another 2 years.
Setting up your FREE website will only take a few minutes. First you choose your domain name and check to make sure it is available. Then, once you have entered your business name and address, your contact details, a UK mobile phone number, a couple of paragraphs giving an overview of your business and a couple of pictures to show your business at work – you just wait for a text message with a PIN number which you enter into your site and that’s it! There are lots of designer templates to choose from and you can always change it at any time. You do not need any experience of setting up a website as the whole process is really simple and any computer user should be fine.
All you have to do then is tell the world about your website. Put the address on your cards, your invoices, letterheads, vehicles, email signature – as many places as possible.
This is an amazing scheme and any business that doesn’t have a website already no longer has any excuse on cost grounds not to get their business onto the web and found in the search engines of the world.
If you already have a website, Getting British Business Online can help you mend any holes you may have in your website to help you start landing more customers right away.
There are not many things in life that are free – but this is one of them.
Go over there right now and set your site up – for FREE – or call them on .
Have a great bank holiday – and send me a link to your new free website!

After reading more about this, the cynic in me assumed it was some kind of scheme to give you a free website for a year, then really sting you for hosting/domain renewals come the end of the free term, but I’m pleased to say it’s a genuine offer, and that apparently there really is a free lunch!
